This animation is based on a personal memory from my final year in Iran. At fifteen, I shaved my head and removed my hijab in a school environment where female appearance is strictly regulated.
Although I had not broken any formal rule, my body was treated as a disruption. I was taken to the principal’s office and questioned aggressively, where my appearance was interpreted as deviance, immorality, or ideological threat.
The work reconstructs this moment through a deliberately reduced visual language, reflecting how systems of control operate not only through law, but through surveillance, shock, and social enforcement. It explores how the female body becomes a site of projection, discipline, and fear.
